Waterpod Specification

Construction

We are proud to design and build our Waterpods in-house, in the UK to a high standard and specification.

Minimising our impact to the the natural environment is highly important to us - that’s why we use over 100% sustainable* materials in our builds, such as 100% recycled wall cladding and composite decking, timber from sustainable forests and a fully recyclable hull frame system.

Waterpods are built to last, with a 50+ year design life, meaning your investment is safe and can be enjoyed for generations.

The cut-away below shows the make-up of a typical Waterpod which includes:

  • Aluminium chassis providing high corrosion resistance, even in sea water conditions

  • Striking exterior cladding and detailing

  • Virtually unsinkable hull thanks to the foam-filled LLDPE floatation tubes which cannot fill with water and sink, even if breached and which require no annual maintenance.

  • High all-round insulation with an average 100mm of insulation across roof, walls and floor, minimising heating bills and ensuring year-round comfort - even in the hottest summers or coldest winters.

* We have ensured that over 99% of materials (by mass) are from sustainable sources.
