Two new Waterpods Delivered to Jersey

Waterpod was pleased to deliver and commission two new Waterpod 35 houseboats to our client, the Ports of Jersey, on Monday 11th November 2024.

The Waterpods now lie in St Helier Marina and are owned by the Ports of Jersey. They will be used for short-term holiday accommodation and are available to book at https://www.freedomholidays.com/Property/View/939.

The pods offer a new and unique form of stay in Jersey and will generate new revenue for the marina and local economy while encouraging tourism and are currently offered at a nightly rate of £175-£200 with a 3 night minimum stay.

The two Waterpods each feature:

  • A large solar array producing up-to 2.6KW of energy and forecast to provide up-to 80% of its energy needs throughput the year

  • A large single bedroom with king size bed, bathroom and large open-plan living room / kitchen

  • A custom onboard waste water solution which pumps all toilet, shower & sink waste water from the pods up the 12 meter vertical distance to the mains sewerage system, developed specifically for Jersey

  • Highly sustainable and eco-friendly features include high thermal insulation, an air-source heat pump as well as energy efficient lighting and appliances.

  • Onboard sewerage pumping stations with high performance dual resilient pumps to pump all waste water from the boat up the 12 meter height (at low tide) to reach the mains sewer.
